Right after the campsite number 1 the drop on the terrain is noticeable and we start earring the falls near by.
Before it we could see what the flood can do with rocks and debris.

We got to the Virgin River falls inside the park. Nothing big but good 20 feet drop.
You can rope it down if you know how to do it and have a rope, but there is a path from your left, very nice. You walk down thru a very narrow crack on a big rock and can be after the falls.
Remember to step back and actually see the falls. It’s very nice.

Deep Creck now had his water flow joined to Virgin River and it's noticeble. You will have to be more carefull to cross sections of the river from now on.

This part was one of the most beautiful on the whole hike.

The tunnel like path was gorgeous.

For some reason I could not find the campsite number 2, but at 3:10PM we saw the number 3 and at 3:20PM we arrived at number 4.
There were 3 people from our shuttle that already were in the water, enjoying the sun.
I would say that if you want to relax on the water under the sun, campsite number 4 is the best option, since we can pitch on the shadow of trees and swim under the sun at the Virgin River.

You are not allowed to make pit fire on the park.

At 3:45PM we got our first real obstacle. Larry climbs the rocks from the right, but the rest of us just cross swimming from the left. Not picture since I had to bag my camera.

Tip of the page:

Zion can be very hot on summer days, going over 100F.

Bring a lot of water and dring it a lot. Ate least one quarter avery half day. It will keep you cool and also will help your muscles not getting to much pain.

You will need a permit for through hikes and overnight trips and it can be picked up on the day before the hike if you have a reservation, or you can participate on the lottery (check the link below).

Camping is limited to about 80 people per night, so reservation is a good advice.

Who is Elton

I was born in Brazil and moved to USA, California in 1996. Took me some time to learn the language and get into this country, but I think now I'm doing quite well. I became an American citizen in late 2007.
I love to travel and by the time I was writing this page, I had logged more them 140.000 miles on the motorcycles I have/had. My current bikes are one 2002 BMW K1200LTe and one 2003 BMW R1150GS. Also there are many more miles on my car and much more on airplane trips.
Winter I try to do Snowmobile. Summer is time for water sports (PWC) and I motorcycle year around (one of the benefits of living in sunny California)
